Risk Disclosure
Trading carries a substantial risk of loss. QuantPeak describes what your account has already done; it does not tell you what to trade next.
Trading can cost you more than you can afford to lose
Trading futures, equities, options, foreign exchange and crypto assets carries a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Leverage magnifies losses as much as gains. You can lose your entire deposit, fail an evaluation, lose a funded account, and with some instruments lose more than your initial deposit. Only trade with money you can genuinely afford to lose.
1. QuantPeak does not give advice
QuantPeak is analysis and record-keeping software. It describes what has already happened in your own account and measures your position against limits you or your firm have set. It is not financial product advice, personal advice, general advice, a recommendation, a signal service or a solicitation to deal in any financial product.
We are not licensed to provide financial product advice and we do not do so. We do not know your objectives, financial situation or needs, and nothing the software displays takes them into account. Before acting on any information, consider whether it is appropriate for you and seek advice from a licensed professional if you need it.
2. Past performance means nothing about the future
Every figure QuantPeak shows — win rate, expectancy, session performance, drawdown history, edge by setup — is a description of trades that have already closed. Markets change, your behaviour changes, and a pattern that held for a year can stop holding tomorrow. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Do not treat a historical statistic as a prediction.
3. Hypothetical and simulated results
Where the software shows a hypothetical, backtested, replayed or simulated result, understand its limits. Hypothetical results are prepared with the benefit of hindsight and do not represent actual trading. They cannot fully account for slippage, liquidity, fills, fees, latency, or the psychological pressure of risking real money — the factors that most often separate a modelled result from a real one. No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown.
4. Prop firm rules are the firm’s, not ours
QuantPeak can track drawdown, daily loss limits and consistency rules for proprietary trading accounts. These calculations are a convenience and can be wrong — because a firm changed its rules, because our copy of those rules is out of date, because your broker data arrived late or incomplete, or because of a defect in our software.
Your firm’s own current published rules govern your account, and their calculation is the one that counts. Never treat a passing indicator in QuantPeak as confirmation that you are compliant, and never place a trade solely because our software suggested there was room for it. We are not affiliated with any proprietary trading firm and cannot speak for one.
5. Data can be wrong, late or missing
QuantPeak works from statements and exports you import, and from optional third-party market data. Imported data may be incomplete, misparsed or stale. Market data may be delayed, inaccurate or unavailable. Live prices shown in the terminal are indicative and are not a quote, an execution price or a substitute for your broker’s platform. Always verify against your broker of record before acting.
6. Software fails
The software may contain defects, may be unavailable, and may calculate something incorrectly. It runs in your browser and depends on your device, your storage and your connection. Do not build a risk process that has no fallback if QuantPeak is wrong or absent. Nothing here is a safety system and none of it should be your only control.
7. You are responsible for your decisions
Every order you place, every position you size and every risk you take is your decision alone. We accept no liability for trading losses, breached accounts, failed evaluations or lost funding. See the liability section of our Terms of Service.
8. Getting help
If trading is affecting your finances, your health or your relationships, please stop and get support. In Australia, Gambler’s Help is available on 1800 858 858 and Lifeline on 13 11 14, both 24 hours. Elsewhere, contact your local equivalent. No statistic in this software matters more than that.
